Types of membership & fees:

1) Full Membership

Full membership lasts a year and is for any group working in a creative play, care, educational or therapeutic setting (but not LEA funded). The membership fee you pay depends on the yearly expenditure of your group. The expenditure is the yearly cost to run your group i.e. wages, rent, oncosts etc. The membership fees are in Bands A to F and fees are listed below. (Fees include VAT)

As a rough Guide, Band A is usually for groups run by volunteers (like PTAs and Scout groups) and those operating on very low budgets. The higher bands are appropriate for larger groups.

Membership is offered at these rates for any group working in Bristol, Bath & NE Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire. Groups outside these areas may join but pay double fees.

Please note:

  • PTAs: Join under full membership Band A for PTA activities only. The card cannot be used by the teachers in general. If teachers want to use Scrapstore for class work then the school must take out membership.
  • Church groups: Add up the expenditure of all the groups run by you in your premises. Use this figure to assess your Band. The membership will be in the church name.
  • Home education groups: The group joins under Band A plus £5 for everyone in that group. We will need a list of everyone in your group.
  • Uniformed Districts:  You need to find out which units in your district wish to join. The fee will be Band A plus £5 per unit.
  • Childminding groups: Individually childminders are charged the Band A fee. Childminding groups join under Band A and then pay £5 per person in that group.
