We are excited to be offering behind-the scenes tours, free family arts and one-day membership to the Scrapstore Warehouse as part of Bristol Open Doors.

Family Arts

Become an architect for the day and create a small world in a box! It could be a magical garden, futuristic landscape or underwater city… With masses of scrap and craft resources at our fingertips, this will be a playful exploration of space and place for all ages.

This activity is free - there is no minimum age, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join a behind the scenes tour of the warehouse and building. Learn about the history of Scrapstore house, the role that Children’s Scrapstore plays in Bristol’s landscape of reuse and the journey scrap takes from businesses to education and play settings, as waste things become play things.

30 minute tours will begin at 11am, 11.30am and 2pm - sign up as you arrive (there is limited space, to come early to secure your place!)

Visitors will gain special access to our members’ Scrapstore Warehouse, where you can collect a basketful of scrap materials (recommended donation £6). Join the reuse momentum and gather resources that will inspire an art project or enrich children’s play at home!
