Children’s Scrapstore presents Bristol’s Community Reuse Festival
Weekend of September 28-29th 2019, 11am-4pm
Reuse, arts and creative play unite for a two day programme that celebrates Bristol’s exciting and innovative reuse culture. Curated by Children’s Scrapstore, the festival line-up includes workshops, live artists, talks, and creative play; recline in the SOFA Project lounge area, restore your bike with Bristol Bike Project’s Dr Bikes, delve into the Scrapstore Clothes Swap, or explore the many and varied opportunities to play, create and connect with your own potential for reuse in your family or household.
On the Sunday morning from 11am to 1pm you can design and make your own reusable beeswax wrap for just £5! Each session is half an hour long, and just follow the link below to book and save your space.
In the afternoon, don’t miss our felted soap workshop, where you can create a beautiful wool wrapped soap to extend the life of the soap while being a great exfoliator for your skin! This workshop includes an organic soap bar and all materials you’ll need for just £8.
From 3pm to 4pm, you can learn how to reuse old clothes and fabric to create a useful and beautiful spiral effect mat - just follow the link below to book.
You’ll find the Community Reuse Festival at Scrapstore House, our charity’s home in Sevier Street, St Werburghs – you could coordinate your visit as part of St Werburghs Arts Trail, drop in, or stay all day…
The festival is free to attend and welcomes children and adults, individuals and families – come along and join the momentum of Bristol’s growing reuse community!
