Volunteer Job - Warehouse Assistant
Warehouse volunteers sort and unpack scrap to make it available for the customers visiting the Scrapstore warehouse.
What will I be doing?
· Manually unloading vans
· Sorting, weighing and labelling pallets
· Merchandising the scrap items in the customer warehouse
· Trained to safely use the manual pallet truck
What we need you to be:
· Able to perform physical manual handling tasks including lifting and loading – This role is physically demanding, working in an active environment
· Able to work in a team and on your own
· Adaptable and flexible. Incoming scrap is often unpredictable and may require additional processing
· Positive, friendly and personable – this will include being customer facing
· Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures

Volunteer Job - Warehouse Processing Assistant
Warehouse Processing Assistant
Warehouse Processing Assistants unpack, process suitable scrap for Scrapstore PlayPods and events.
What will I be doing?
· Manually unloading vans
· Sorting suitable scrap into set locations and containers within the warehouse
· Cleaning, cutting to size and bundling scrap for children’s play
· Trained to safely use the manual pallet truck
What we need you to be:
· Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading – This role is physically demanding, working in an active environment
· Able to work in a team and on your own
· Adaptable and flexible. Incoming scrap is often unpredictable and may require additional processing
· Positive, friendly and personable
